Imagine walking across the stage in the perfect dress, it fit you perfectly, it sparkled just like how you wanted it to..and the color...exactly what you were looking for. I can say all of these about my dresses that I had the opportunity to wear on stage just a few weeks ago for state competition. I am so grateful that we had the opportunity to work with Sarah Moses with The Pageant Shop by Michael's. She was so easy to work with. My committee made an appointment for us all to go and look for dresses for both my talent performance as well as for evening gown competition. I told Sarah what style I was looking for and she helped me find exactly what I was looking for....I also got to look through her entire collection...and let me tell you..there was ALOT of dresses for me to try on. I wanted to share with you the dresses that I chose for competition! Aren't the absolutely stunning?? I had the best day hanging with my committee picking the perfect dresses! If you are in need and looking for a dress, make sure you get in touch with Sarah for all of your dress needs!!

I had the opportunity back in March to have my first ever professional head shot with full hair and make up provided for me. I was so blessed to be able to work with Gianna Capuzzi with Hair Cult who is such a gracious sponsor to the Miss Coon Rapids Pageant, as well as now a sponsor for the Miss Minnesota Organziation. She made me feel and look like a million dollars!! She also provided me with styling and make up tips as I was preparing for the State Competition. I also want to give a shout out to John Nelson with Photographycs for doing my amazing head shots and for helping me look top notch as for my "Official" Miss Minnesota Outstanding Teen head shot!! Enjoy the pictures below showing the start to finish product!! Hello everyone! I want to take the opportunity to introduce myself. I am your 2019 Miss Coon Rapid's Outstanding Teen Hanna Beck. I am so excited and honored to represent this great city for the next year and have the opportunity to promote my platform #Paying it Forward, The Pinky Swear Foundation. Thank you to all of the amazing sponsors that make this scholarship program. I look forward to the year with this organization as well as spending the year with my sister queen Miss Coon Rapids Kathryn Kueppers. I look forward to sharing my year with you all!
Love, Hanna My journey to become Miss Coon Rapids Outstanding Teen began 6 years ago when I first stood on this very stage competing for the teen title. Without a doubt in my mind I knew I would be back to represent this amazing community, which has become my home away from home. One year ago my journey continued as I was crowned and welcomed into the CR family with open arms and big hearts; ready to help me pursue my goals, and reach my highest potential.
I was beyond honored to be the preliminary evening gown & on-stage question winner along with being named 2nd runner up at the Miss Minnesota’s Outstanding Teen competition. And how humbling to be recognized for the second year in a row for the Anne and Hal Alyger Community Involvement Award for all of the service work that I completed during my reign. This year I was able to grow my Non-Profit Organization; Little Sprouts Garden Gang to a “national” level by providing 105 childcare facilities in 21 states with free vegetable seeds for children to plant gardens that provide fresh produce. Some other goals I accomplished this year included publishing my first children’s book; Come and Plant a Garden with Me and personally spreading my message about my campaign “ME; move more, eat real” to more than 1900 students. I could not have done it without the help, love and support of so many people. Erin, you have presence about you that makes everyone fall in love with you, you are such a sweet and down to earth person and even though we lived on opposite ends of the state you were always someone I could count on. I will cherish every memory we have made together this year because it was an amazing year with you by my side representing Coon Rapids. I know we always will have each other’s backs. Thank you for being the best sister queen a girl could ask for, I will miss you very much! Megan, thank you so much for everything this past year. Whether it was helping me with what to wear, mock interviews, practicing walks or giving me advice, I will always be so grateful that you were there for me cheering me on from the sidelines. I will miss having you as a director! Theresa, although you are the Miss director you were also my director and thank you so much for helping me with everything. Being a chaperone at any of my many appearances, driving me all over the place and of course our many sleepovers has made this year even better. I will miss you very much, thank you for everything! A special shout out to Sue, John, Mark, Zayanne, Meghan, Marcie, Becky, Stephen, Teda, Diane and the entire Coon Rapids Committee, I have truly been blessed by how much advice I have gotten from you all. Thank you for all of the love and support you have given me this past year. I will miss each and every single one of you because you help this program flourish and want girls like me to come back after competing for the first time at the age of 12 to represent you. So, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. To the many competition sponsors and the community of Coon Rapids, you have been so kind to welcome me as if I were one of your own to represent Coon Rapids. Truly making it feel like my home away from home. Thank you all for supporting me this past year. Mallory Hagan, thank you for everything you did in order to help prepare me for the state competition. You helped me feel more confident in myself and what I have to offer. I have learned so many skills from you that I will carry with into any interview or room that I walk into. Thank you again! A special thank you to Paula Preston for taking my beautiful head-shots and to Gianna Capuzzi for helping me with makeup and hair throughout my reign! Also, to John Nelson for capturing all of the memories made during state week! Another big thank you goes to Sarah from the Pageant shop and Le Chic for helping me with all of my wardrobe for the state competition. Also, to MAI Movement for the fitness wear! Thank you is never enough to say to my family members. Mom and Dad you have helped guide me throughout my years as a pageant girl and I’m so thankful that you have been so supportive of me pursuing my dreams. To my siblings, Kassidy, Brekden and Kenzi, thank you all for your love and support and being my biggest fans. I love you all so much. To the future Miss Coon Rapids Outstanding Teen and Miss Coon Rapids, take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. You never know what it will lead to, I know it will be something great. Time flies but memories last forever, signing off for the last time, I am Miss Coon Rapids Outstanding Teen 2018, Annika Kovar I know how fast a year can fly by as a titleholder, so when I can, I always say yes appearances that present themselves. One of my elementary teachers recently asked me to perform at a dinner event. What an honor to be able to share my talents by singing a couple numbers and speaking about the Miss Minnesota Outstanding Teen Organization as well as my platform, Creating Generation Healthy. Thank you Mrs. Hein and Alpha Delta Kappa, Alpha Theta group!
What an incredible experience to be able to attend the Miss America competition in Atlantic City this year. I was able to to cheer in person for Miss Minnesota Michalene Karlen, each night of prelims, and watch her be called into the top 15. The atmosphere was electric!!!! Since this is my last year as a teen, I was so thankful to be able to see first hand what to expect with the new changes in place with Miss America 2.0, I was not disappointed! Can't wait to see locals bring in the 2.0 changes, and be able to compete for my dream job as a Miss someday.
Thanks Southwest Metro magazine for the fun pic of Eden and I and featuring Miss Minnesota week on pages 30-31. Photo credit: Photographycs
