Miracle Treat Day, a time in which the calories do not count and it is completely acceptable to eat multiple blizzards from Dairy Queen in one day! I spent time in Coon Rapids at the Riverdale DQ

Hope 4 Youth put on a great fundraiser at Sand Creek Park to raise awareness and funds for their life changing organization. I have enjoyed all of the opportunities that I have had to give my time and energy to help fight this horrible issue. The number of students in Anoka-Hennepin counties that is listed as homeless has increased once again and it is even more important that the community rally together to help these students. This is an organization in which I will continue to devote my heart.
Fourth of July, one of my most favorite holidays! I was able to spend the weekend in Coon Rapids with my amazing committee, parents and Bree. I rode in the parade on the back of Zayanne’s fantastic new convertible. It was great to see so many familiar faces in the crowd. The rest of the weekend was spent working the concession stand, enjoying the fair, playing bingo and bean bags, and watching one of the most amazing firework displays that I have ever seen!
I have sat down to write this blog too many times, but I can’t seem to find the words to describe exactly the feelings of my time during Miss Minnesota. I am so honored to have had the opportunity to represent Coon Rapids at the state pageant. My experiences and time with the other contestants throughout the week were incredible and unlike any other year that I spent at Miss Minnesota. Thank you to all of my committee, community, friends and parents for all of your support during the Miss MN week. I needed you by my side for this important journey in my life and I am thrilled to say that I was top 10 this year. Congrats again to Miss Savannah, who will be a wonderful representative at Miss America! Now knowing that the state pageant is done, I think sadly of the fact that not only is my year coming quickly to an end but I am ending the Miss America contestant chapter of my life. I will continue to share my final experiences in my blog but I apologize in advance for my lack of depth and description as I have enjoyed writing about in my previous posts. |
