I have had such a fun-filled weekend here in Coon Rapids celebrating Snowflake Days with you all. Its certainly been an eventful day to say the least! First up: Kate, our Marquee and I helped out with the Medallion Hunt. It was pretty cold out, so thank goodness for hot chocolate! And a huge thank you to the fireman for taking us on a tour of their firehouse and helping all the kids out. Congratulations to our winners, Manny and Isabella! Next up: presenting awards at the pickleball tournament. Again, congratulations to the winners! And finally, my favorite event. The sock hop! I had such a good time at this event. The costumes, the music, the dancing, it was all so much fun! Or as I have been informed it would be in 50's slang, "far out". This whole weekend has made me come to appreciate the community of Coon Rapids so much more. Everywhere we went we saw people having fun together. I can't wait for fun events to come this weekend. See you all soon!

For those of you who don't know, I am a member of the varsity showchoir at my school, Vocalmotive. Every year we put on a dinner show as a fundraiser, and this year was an absolute blast! Aside from our standard show, I also performed in 3 solo acts. I sang "Popular Song" by Mika and Ariana Grande with my best friend, Susannah Roed, as well as singing "Ugly Heart" by G.R.L. with Susannah and Aubri Whittwer. I also participated in the annual "Dance Ensemble", a hip-hop dance choreographed by senior members of Vocalmotive. The partner based-choreography was set to "A Little Party" by Fergie, and was so much fun to perform! And just as much fun as performing is serving with all the other members! The Vocalmotive Dinner Show has all of the members of the showchoir act as the waitstaff for the evening. Between acts and serving, this gave us a lot of time to have fun together! Though the four shows were very tiring, they were worth it! This weekend was so fun, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I'm very excited competition season is about to start, wish us luck!
