HUGE THANK YOU to my Miss Coon Rapids committee for putting together a wonderful send off party. I absolutely loved everything. It was so sweet to see everyone who has been supporting me for the past five months as Miss Coon Rapids Outstanding Teen. I love my Coon Rapids family; they are so supportive and loving! Easily best committee out there.

Forgot to mention how nice it was to see a previous Coon Rapids queen be crowned Miss Olmsted! And later be competing at Miss Minnesota! You looked beautiful Emily, and I wish you the best of luck at state!
In February I met with a distinguished group, known as Women Of Today. Here I met some wonderful women who take action in today's world to give back to their community and reach out to make a difference in the lives of others. Here I gave an informational speech about the wonderful Miss America Organization and what it means to me, along with sharing my personal platform "Special Needs, Bright Futures". At the end I connected with many of the women in the meeting discussing world topics and my platform. It was thrilling to share with others my passion for helping child with Down syndrome and seeing how interested others get. My job as MissCoon Rapids Outstanding Teen is to spread my personal message through my platform and inform others about the best scholarship program in the world for Women of Today. Attending events like this further enables me to fulfill my obligations. Thank you Women of Today for having me as a guess speaker, I love sharing my story with others.
I was picked as a finalist for the Tracie Joy McBride Teens in Action Scholarship Award! Each contestant competing for Miss Minnesota's Outstanding Teen pageant is asked to submit an essay describing what service is to them. I was so pleased and honored to be chosen for such a wonderful scholarship. The Tracie Joy McBride Scholarship Fund awards educational scholarships to teens who exemplify a commitment to service work and live with integrity, humility and character. It brings me joy to be recognized for my platform and other works. It truly is a passion of mine to serve others, especially those within the disabled community. The Tracie Joy McBride Teens In Action scholarship honors well-rounded servant leaders who display commitment to service work (beyond platform pursuits) and who live with integrity, humility and character. These scholarships honor the young women who have made service and blessing others their life’s mission, not just their pageant mission. I am looking forward to sharing with others the excitement my platform brings me, and how I continue to leave my legacy through service.
Had the priviledge of giving a 20 minute speech about the Miss America Organization along with my personal platform "Special Needs, Bright Futures" on March19th . While meeting many of the members that put time into creating fundraisers for the city of Coon Rapids and more. A big thank you to the Coon Rapids Lions club for letting me be a guest speaker, but also for being a big supporter of mine. I really do appreciate it. I enjoyed sharing my platform and informing others more about the benefits of the Miss America Organization for young women.
It was amazing being able to participate in this fundraiser because I got to meet many survivors of cancer and other illnesses that attended the Children Miracle Network. Another fun part was getting to eat pancakes and drench them in syrup. All while helping contribute to the funds of the Children Miracle Network and helping kids in need of medical aid.
Our Children's Mircale Network project was making tie blankets which was a delightful time with the girls. As you see below we were all making sure the blankets were cozy enough for the children who are going to recieve them later. We made sure they were very cozy and soft. It was a great experience bonding with these girls through such a wonderful service project. We girls had the privilege of walking around the Mall of America, and then playing some mini golf together! Thank you so much to the Mall of America for being such amazing sponsors! It was so great finally meeting all the other titleholders! They are all too sweet, I love the Class of 2014.
I am so honored that I got the chance to meet and talk with the one and only Sherri Hill. I Absolutely love her dresses! I am thankful for the opportunities that Coon Rapids has given me. A special thank you to Sarah Moses of The Pageant Shop for getting so many wonderful dresses in one place at the Trunk Show. I am so grateful to have you as a sponsor. I am so excited to grace the stage of the Miss Minnesota's Outstanding Teen Pageant in my custom Sherri Hill gown from The Pageant Shop! I am in love with it!
I had the oppratunitiy to get photos taken with my beautiful sister queen Kayla that I will cherish forever as a memory of my reign as Miss Coon Rapids Oustanding Teen. A huge thank you to our sponsor, Angie Koos Photography, for capturing both of our beauty in the photographs!
The Kid's Carnival was super cute and I got to play many games with little kids and make arts and crafts. It made me remember I'm still a kid myself and it was a joy to be part of. The City of Coon Rapids really knows how to celebrate Snowflake Days with so many fun activities!
