I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Upper Arlington High School, then I attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where I studied Communication, Computer Science, and Spanish. I was very involved with the campus television station as well as our acappella group, DePauwCappella! During my junior year of college I spent a semester living in New York City as I interned at NBC's TODAY Show.
After I graduated from college, I took on a job as a one-man-band reporter in La Crosse, Wisconsin. For two years I covered a five-county area for Western Wisconsin's NBC and FOX affiliates.
Then, in late July, I accepted a new job as the primetime news anchor for Rochester, Minnesota's FOX affiliate. I've loved getting to know my new home both at work and in my free time. Not only do I get to meet new people almost every day as I cover news stories, but I've also gotten involved in the community in other ways. I'm on the Executive Leadership Team for the local American Heart Association chapter, and I help high school students with career preparation through the Mentorship Rochester group.
In my free time, I love staying active and playing my ukulele! (More on that in another blog post!)
