SCHOLARSHIP MONEY.
The Miss America Organization is one of the world’s largest providers of scholarship assistance for young women. What is so great about this statement is that this assistance is not reserved for the handful of young women who become Miss America. Scholarships are available to thousands of young women competing for local competitions around the nation such as Miss Coon Rapids.
Personally, competing in the Miss America Organization has been an instrumental asset to my educational career. Because of the scholarship dollars I have earned, paying tuition bills and those dreaded student loans has been stress-free. Not to mention, the Miss Coon Rapids crown is tied to the incredibly generous amount of $1,500 with many other scholarship opportunities for those not walking away with the crown. Speaking of money, Miss Coon Rapids is also awarded a $500 wardrobe allowance. I know you want new clothes.
My favorite aspect of the Miss America Organization is its commitment to service. As Miss Coon Rapids, you will stand out in the eyes of others not because of the crown, sash, or title but for your passion and dedication to being active in the community.
As Miss Coon Rapids, I have been afforded opportunities of a lifetime to promote my personal platform, Homeless Youth: Invisible and Voiceless. I have served as a partner with HOPE 4 Youth, Anoka County’s first and only homeless youth drop-in center; honing skills that truly have enabled me to have an impact at this organization and in the lives of those it helps.
I do not know what your passion is, but what I can tell you, is that there is a place for you in Coon Rapids. Our City wants and needs your involvement.
