Wow... it has been a busy month and a half since my last blog post. Not only have I been active in my community as Miss Coon Rapids, but I also celebrated the completion of my undergraduate studies at North Central University. I have been part of many fun and charitable events over the course of the remainder of November and December including:

The Gala for Hope solidified the above statement to me. Over 400 community members were in attendance, selling out every seat, and the generosity of those in attendance was even more humbling. What made this event even more special, though, was that I got to share it with my mom, my committee, and a table full of the finest North Star Lions members. I am so thankful for a supportive committee who never allow me to make an appearance alone. This December, a few other special guests accompanied me to some wonderful events.
After your duties as bell ringers were up, we headed to Dino’s Gyros for dinner. I know I have mentioned Dino’s in my blog already, but can I just reiterate how amazing their food is?! Since my first experience tasting the delicious gyros after the Miss Brainerd Lakes pageant, I have been back multiple times. Thank you so much Vona and Dino for firstly, introducing me to your restaurant but most importantly, being good friends and sponsors of the Miss Coon Rapids Scholarship Program. |
