I taught several middle school classes at Edgewood Middle School and a couple 4th and 5th grade classes at Pinewood Elementary School about the importance of consuming the news and finding reliable sources.
I explained that, as a news reporter, it's my duty to make sure people have important and accurate information.
We went over a checklist of questions to ask when finding a reliable source, and talked about how people make decisions every day based on the news they consume!
All the groups asked great questions and I think they all learned a lot about news literacy.
Thank you, Mounds View Schools, for having me!
